This month’s PURR-files feature is Macey! Macey was adopted 4 years ago from the Humane Society. She was starving when she was brought in and had to be fattened up before she could be spayed. Macey’s mom got her when she was 3 months old. She thought that her cat Belle would mother her, but it turned out that Harley did the mothering. Harley was a previous PURR-files feature. You can read his feature here. He cleaned her ears and cuddled with her and kept her in line. Now Macey rules the house and the other two cats but they love her to pieces!

PURR-files is back!! It’s been awhile and we’ve missed them too. We’re kicking off the return of PURR-files with REENA! We’ve been close friends with Reena’s mom for a couple years now. We met in a Caster.com group for cats with chronic renal failure. Reena’s brother Doc has CRF and was one of Jake’s closest friends before Jake passes away. But back to the star of today’s show, Reena! Reena is a beautiful siamese lady. We just love her dark face and striking blue eyes – they definitely remind us of another cat we know in our own family!

Pet-peeves: Most of the time I love him, but sometimes my little brother, Peanut, drives me up the wall! I also don’t like to be held for too long and I HATE when people call me fat – after dropping down from 22lbs to 18lbs in the last couple years, my vet says I’m super healthy and don’t need to lose any more weight!

Also, I think because I lived in my mommy’s sorority house for the first 6 months of my life and those 50 girls never left me alone, I tend to prefer men to woman (except for my mommy of course).

BEAU! I immediately thought of Micah when the photo of Beau showed up in my PURR-files inbox. Like his name, Beau is just beautiful! Beau was rescued after being poisoned. (Can you believe that?) His meowmy who works for the PSPCA helped nurse him back to health and decided to adopt this gorgeous boy after seeing her baby make a miraculous recovery.

This month’s PURR-files feature stars GUIDO! Guido has an important job that keeps him quite busy – He’s a certified Animal Assisted Therapy cat and every other week he travels on the cable car to an adult day care center for folks with Down Syndrome. It’s run by
The ARC. They sure do make him purr a lot on the job! In our opinion that’s the best kind of pay a meowster can get. Guido also pens his own newletter called

This month’s PURR-files feature stars Sammi! Sammi is a cat who thoroughly appreciates adulation and compliments because he knows just how handsome he is. He’s quite a little Liger King. (Check out his stripes AND his mane!) Sammi is generally a pretty laid-back kinda guy, however he is VERY into his “nip” fix if you know what we mean. As you will remember, Danzig was our latest PURR-files feature. Danzig happily received his appearance “fee” in the form of his favorite Jake & Micah catnip toy. I love seeing videos of cats as their PURR-sonalities shine through often quite comically. Danzig is such a cutie! He’s an orange version of Jake with his husky build right down to his white mittens. Danzig enjoys his sushi just like Fionna. He likes to lick the wrapping until it’s plenty soggy and wet – gross. Paws OFF Danzig’s sushi guys!
