So yesterday Aug 26th was officially Jonah’s 6th birthday! Having cat birthday parties are a little hard during the work week and since it was so close to the weekend we decided to celebrate properly on Saturday morning…
So here it is… Jonah’s 2011-Pirated themed 6th birthday cake!

I made my cuddly Micky Bear a Pooh Bear Birthday Cake to celebrate! 5 candles for 5 years old!
Everybody joined in the festivities! The cake was a big hit!
Jonah especially enjoyed eating all the cat treat candy decorations while Micky dug into the canned cat food cake! Somehow they muscled their sister out of the way completely!
Forget the cake! The cat treat cake decorations are a bigger hit than the cake part for Jonah.
Micky was really interested in the birthday cake when I was making it. He kept jumping up on the kitchen table but when it came time to eat it, he was acting a bit tentative…
Fionna dove right in as usual though! As expected Jonah ate a few bites and then he was done. That dude is seriously anorexic! He said he could spare to have a bite of cake on his birthday but because of his calorie conscience lifestyle he couldn’t indulge too much.
Mommy almost forgot! For some reason she thought it was tomorrow! We’re gonna have birthday cake later tonight when daddy gets home. Mommy will post photos later tonight or tomorrow!
We celebrated Micky’s 4th birthday on Saturday even though his actual birthday was Friday. Working parents know that it’s sometimes easier to have birthday parties on the weekend. On Friday nights mommies and daddies can be tired from the long work week. Micky looked especially handsome with his Pooh Bear birthday badge. He wasn’t quite sure what to make of all the attention as he’s never celebrated his birthday before. Jonah and Fionna were acting pretty jealous of him.
Here’s Micky’s birthday cake! I tried to find a Winnie the Pooh Bear cake topper but the candles only when up to 3. I was pretty bummed. I guess they figure you can only like Pooh up until the age of 3? I had to go with the number 4 cake topper instead.

Amazingly so did Jonah! Jonah is a such a picky eater and barely ate his own birthday cake! You may remember here what I ended up having to do to make sure he at least tasted his. Not surprising was Fionna. She’d eat cardboard with cat food smeared on it.
As I mentioned before, the cats were acting quite jealous of Micky during his entire party. I attempted to take a birthday portrait of Micky but Jonah and Fionna kept blocking my shots. Finally Fionna straight out got tired of all the attention I was giving Micky and attacked him!
Poor dude had to defend himself. He was totally confused as to why she would climb on his back and assault him!
A few minutes later Jonah attacked him too! I guess they mistook Micky’s birthday for Beat on Micky day. After all that excitement Micky decided to hide out in his fuzzy tunnel for a few hours instead of getting pounded on for no reason.
Micky’s 4th Birthday is today YIPPEEEEE! We’ll be celebrating big time complete with a birthday cake. We’ll post pics from his party so be sure to check back!
Today was Jonah’s 4th Birthday! He got decked out in his camouflage commando bandanna complete with military birthday badge. The chocolate brown compliments his chocolate face beautifully. He is just too handsome! Look at Jonah pose!

One of our nicknames for him is monkey so a monkey cake topper worked perfectly. To entice our birthday boy to actually taste his cake (my worst fear seeing as he’s such a picky eater) I frosted his cake with baby food.

Fionna decided to help her big brother eat his cake.
It was a nice low key birthday. Jonah is a no-fuss kind of guy so he didn’t want too much of a to-do. We’d hoped Jake would make it to this day to celebrate with his brother but he was here in spirit. Happy Birthday Jonah Bear! We love you!
Fionna caught a cold yesterday so we weren’t sure if we would be doing her cake tonight or not. She was pretty sleepy all day and has been sneezing a lot (poor girl!) but she woke up from her nap around 7 PM and was ready to go!!

Jonah doesn’t care for treats (he’s so weird!) But he stopped by to take a closer look. He must be on a diet…
Jake joined in with his sister though. I let him have a few treats but not too many (not renal friendly.) All in all Fionna had a great day. I think she liked her cake and all the extra attention! Until the next one… Jonah’s birthday in August!
